Banking law is the special commercial law of traders and the trade of money and equivalent values, especially precious metals. It takes its name from its main part, the money traders called banks, and the monetary transactions that characterize these traders and are called banking transactions. Banking law includes in particular the law of banking supervision, the law of the banking organization, banking transactions (liabilities or assets) and the law of special banks.
